How to Make Craigslist Look Pretty

Recently at SXSW, one of the panels (design eye for the list guy) decided to redesign Craigslist.org. While this was received with a lukewarm reception by Craig Newmark himself, others thought the design made it easier to use. My personal opinon is that craigslist is beautiful in its simplicity and should they actually add hard css styles to the site, it would mess up your posting and force your ad to look homoginized or worse yet, you may have to resort to MySpace style CSS hacks.
If you still want a prettier user interface, Corey Holland shows a way to use a few simple tools to make craigslist.org look like the Ryan Sims’ design that was posted on Thebignoob.com. Now you can re-skin craigslist.org to your own tastes.
Just think if this trend catches on, we could re-skin the internet movie database (iMDB), the open directory project (dmoz), Google and other sites where you think the UI is ugly and has no alibi.
