This week I am selling a few items on Craigslist and it has gone quite well, in fact everything is gone now. Then today I get this strange e-mail in my inbox. I have been mass mailed by some guy in L.A looking to trade what appears to be a list of video games and dvds for what I had listed. In the cc line were about 10 other Craigslist anonymous e-mail addresses.

 

Essentially I have just been Craigslist e-mail spammed. I must say aside from the random sales e-mail, I have never been a part of a mass e-mail like this. It just makes me sad that Craigslist allows people to send mail to multiple listings at once. It seems to me they can control this since the mail must route through their system first.

 

This just seems like something they should nip in the bud now. In the meantime – hey guys, you can mass e-mail prospects from Craigslist. Use it, don’t abuse it. :)
